Elegant and extremely rare, genuine 5ft late Edwardian Inlaid, Mahogany Bedstead. Wonderful detailed Satinwood inlay along with boxwood details, these culminating in a most striking sun burst inlaid display to the lower centre footboard section. With highly formal, twenty-six square cut struts to the head and footboard gates, this fine bedstead stands upon tapered lowers legs ending in brass escutcheon-mount castors.
High quality and most intricately executed box Chamfered and rebated top plinths to main posts and sphere top mounts. Direct from a Northumbrian estate, this fine bedstead represents the very best production at the dawn of its era. Possibly just 19th century due to its quality and iron male / female side iron chill design. This notwithstanding, conservatively dated by Bed Bazaar accredited experts at circa 1901 to align with this bedstead overtly Edwardian styling. Quick ship programme.
