A pleasing mid period Victorian iron bedstead featuring classical, curly round wire centres to the head and footboards. As is the tradition, these are held captive by decorative cast iron chills. Simple iron bedsteads such as this make a wonderfully understated feature in both traditional and more relaxed, contemporary bedroom schemes.
With is slowly curved outer main frame, this bedstead would compliment the eves or an attic of a large period property such as a farm house as well as its more obvious vocation, within a charming and most aesthetically pleasing scheme in a country cottage bedroom. Our customers also find these bedstead just as at home however in the smaller box-rooms that have become so prevalent in more modern homes, especially ones furnished in more eclectic and relaxed antiques and vintage schemes.

Finish / Finishes:
Stove Enamel Paint Finishes: Currently standing unrestored this bedstead could undergo our cost price inclusive grit blasting process and a traditional oven backed stive enamel paint finish. Standard colours, again cost price inclusive, are Satin Black and Glossy Ivory (BS 10B15). Other oven baked, stove enamel colours are available at additional cost.
Hand, Brush Painted Finishes: Alternatively this bedstead could be grit blasted clean, primed and hand brush painted in a colour of your choice. Bed Bazaar commonly uses paint suppliers such as Farrow & Ball, Mylands or The Little Green Paint Co. Once painted the point of difference we offer is to soft-sand, tone and wax the paint to give an authentic patina and add character and history back to the beds final finish. Our hand painted finishes look sensational, they are the best in our industry by some margin.
