About Us
Ben Goodbrey first established Bed Bazaar in 1984, at the tender age of 16. After having a difficult time at school as a result of his dyslexia, Ben was inspired to start an antique bed business by his uncle, David Abbott, an established dealer in antique bedsteads. Also, both Ben’s parents and sister are antique dealers.
In its early days, Bed Bazaar was run from Mr Goodbrey’s home, with a workshop measuring 6’ x 12’ and an old bureau as an office. With Ben’s hard work and enthusiasm, plus invaluable help and advice from both his parents and uncle, the company quickly expanded. As time went by Bed Bazaar built a reputation for good customer service and quality workmanship and is today one of the leading antique bedstead retailers in the UK. As a small business we aim to provide individual attention to our customers needs and pride ourselves on both our products and service.
As well as beds we offer a range of traditional hand-made mattresses and bases manufactured on our premises using quality materials by our sister company, Sleeping Partners.
Finally, it should be noted that both Bed Bazaar and Sleeping Partners became IS0 9001 registered companies in 1994.
